Don Carter, the Mavericks' co-founder and first majority owner, dies at age 84


NBA Basketball News, Scores, Standings, Rumors, Fantasy Games  Donald Carter, the Dallas Mavericks' co-founder and first majority owner, died Wednesday night at the age of 84.
The Dallas County medical examiner's office confirmed Carter's death to The Dallas Morning News, but as of Thursday morning could not provide additional details.
Two sources told The News on Wednesday night that emergency medical personnel were called to Carter's condominium in Uptown Dallas' 22-story Residences at the Stoneleigh.
"We are all heartbroken," Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said Thursday morning in an email to The News. The Mavericks later issued a full statement from Cuban. http://bit.ly/2CmCDYR
