Chelsea 1-1 PSG (6-5 on pens): Blues battle to victory in feisty International Champions Cup clash

Chelsea managed to inject some vigour into their lacklustre pre-season tour to the USA on Saturday night with a fine second-half performance in Charlotte, North Carolina in a feisty clash with Paris St Germain, which seemed coloured by the bad blood of
their recent Champions League encounters.
With Radamel Falcao looking sharp on his debut and scoring in the penalty shoot-out and Thibaut Courtois stepping up to take the decisive seventh penalty and driving it into the top corner like a goal kick, Chelsea ended the a hot, summer’s evening in fine spirits.
More significantly they performed considerably better in the second-half than their humiliating defeat to the New York Red Bulls last Wednesday, though they will still need to improve considerably, with just one match more against Barcelona before their Community Shield clash with Arsenal next weekend.
