Marlins Make Multiple Trades Right Before Deadline

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Marlins got a few more deals in before the end of Major League Baseball trade deadline.
The first trade involved shipping relief pitcher Sam Dyson to the Texas Rangers for catcher Tomas Telis and left-handed reliever Cody Ege.
Dyson has made 44 relief appearances this year with the Marlins, going 3-3 with a 3.68 ERA in 44 innings.
Telis, 24, was 2 for 11 in his recent six-game stint with the Rangers.

Ege, 24, has gone 6-2 with two saves and a 1.00 ERA in 35 appearances between Single-A High Desert and Double-A Frisco in 2015.
The Fish also made a deal with the Cubs.
The Marlins sent veteran righty Dan Haren to Chicago and received right-handed starting pitcher Ivan Pineyro and shortstop Elliot Soto.
Haren was 7-7 with a 3.42 ERA and 1.09 WHIP this season. The Marlins also added cash considerations in the deal.
Pineyro, 23, has gone 7-5, 3.69 in 19 starts for Tennessee in 2015.
Soto, 25, has spent the 2015 season with Double-A Tennessee, hitting .275 in 88 games with a .388 OBP.
